Associate Engineer

Launched and led branch’s civil engineering department. Orchestrated designs of key land development projects, including street plans and profiles, water and sanitary sewer systems, lift stations, storm water, and floodplain determinations. Created contracts and generated required documentation within mandated deadlines. Ensured compliance with regulatory requirements an obtained required permits. Analyzed drainage issues and impact on highway culverts and prepared reports for city and state transportation agencies.

Key Highlights:

• Designed layout of Lerin Hills, a 900-acre, 1400-lot master-planned community, preparing all documentation and data to successfully earn state approvals, and drove the successful creation of the Lerin Hills Municipal Utility District.

• Facilitated solution for a well water contamination problem, creating a winning design of a 10-mile water main to transport potable water from the GBRA.

• Played key role in saving public funds by coordinating with the City of San Antonio to prioritize projects in tandem with street reconstruction schedules.
